La Cuvette Beach – Mauritius

Situated in the northwest part of Mauritius at Grand Baie, La Cuvette is a small and intimate beach.

 

We reached there around 1.00 pm. We needed something relaxing after half day shopping in Port Louis. We were four. Amelia, Toky, Kessen and myself. Reaching there, I could find snack bars offering delicious local food and small snacks. Some people lying under the shade of those big trees and children running and yelling in their own world. There are plenty of grass to play football on, plenty of benches for better comfort. But, Toky suggested to walk over somewhere else. Walking a few miles along the beach, crossing big rocks and cliffs, we finally reached nearby a hotel. This place was very calm and melodious with small hitting waves. The rays of the sun were hitting at its peak, reflecting on the crystal clear turquoise water, making it so shiny and pleasurable to the eyes.

We ate something and sooth our throat with a cool beer, underneath a tree. This calmness ambiance, releasing all positives vibes around us, talking about how life is beautiful with the right people. There could be no better option to end the day. We soon desired for a refreshing swim. The refined sand under the water felt like a creamy smoothie under those feet. Floating on the water, the ears under the water, closing the eyes and swinging along with the waves was all that I needed. The cool breath hitting my top body, making it a cool sensation around my belly. I could feel no worry around me. I forgot all my thoughts, drifted away from all my troubles, my mind was a free one.

We had much fun taking pictures and selfies. We were being so mad in the sea. It would appear like we never went to the beach. But this was exactly what I was looking for, madness. We were making some weird jokes concerning those tourists tanning on the big sofas. Though we had one white chick with us, Amelia. OMG, this girl was supporting us in making fun of the people. But never mind, it was between us, nobody could get offended.

Seriously, if someone needs some fresh air and good reflection mood, he surely need to visit this place. The beach is not only a place to relax. Beach means many different things to different people. For children, it’s their childhood memories building sandcastles. Beaching revolves around being romantic with your love ones or soul mate. Without forgetting, it is always the best idea to spent time with your whole family in the weekends.

Step into the sea whenever you have the opportunity to. It surely sooth your mind and drift away your routine hectic life. Nothing could replace this moment of joy.
